While partners do not have the authority to conduct inspections, they do conduct volunteer boating decontamination demonstration outreach events

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters leads outreach initiatives for the recreational boating pathway in Ontario, including coordination of the annual regional AIS Landing Blitz in Ontario

Partners work collaboratively on outreach/messaging with the province

Dedicated funding for partner activities

There is no specific provincial funding for local partners. However, MNRF does provide grant to provincial organizations (ISC and OFAH) that can assist local partners to conduct outreach

LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY The relevant state/provincial agency has legal authority over local watercraft inspection/decontamination programs, and local programs may not be more stringent than state/provincial programs

Ontario does not have local watercraft inspection programs.
