[DRAFT] Policies to reduce lead exposure in the Great Lakes: Ontario

Ontario schools and childcare facilities are required to test drinking water for lead.

Any adverse water quality incidents, including those related to lead in drinking water, must be reported to the local medical officer of health.

Public notification is not required in the event of an action level exceedance.

Ontario established a standard for lead of 10 micrograms per liter, or parts per billion, but does not have a more protective action level for lead in schools.
